M&M Update: We've Topped $70,000!

Heading Toward the Goal

September 11, 2023

Thanks to the givers at the recent concert at Hope Mennonite Church in Wichita, some very generous gifts from individual Fire Keepers, and the offering taken at the Western District Women in Mission retreat, the Mission and Ministry Project - the fund drive inspired by a $100,000 gift and a challenge to match that gift - has now reached a total of more than $70,000 and is well on its way to $75,000!

Hope Mennonite Church hosted an evening of fun and inspiring music on Sunday, August 27.  Lead vocalists of Everyday Lights, Paul Austin and Jennifer (Hope) Chlumsky from Salina, KS, performed,  combining a variety of musical styles including folk, bluegrass, jazz, country, and traditional hymns, including many original pieces.. The band also recently performed at the Smokey Hill River Festival in Salina, The Farm in Minneapolis, KS and various private parties. The music was wonderful and the hospitality outstanding - and the free-will offering brought in more than $1700 for the M&M Project!  Thanks, Hope, and Paul and Jennifer of Everyday Lights!

A few more Fire Keepers have stepped up with gifts of $1000 or more, including one gift of $5000. It won’t be long before we reach the $100’000 mark - so don’t hesitate to join the effort!

Thanks so much for all you do - keep praying for us and asking what you can do to help Camp Mennoscah fulfill its mission. God is here and doing big things!
