Executive Director Transition
It is with both appreciation and sadness that the Camp Mennoscah Board of Directors announces the resignation of Michael Unruh from the position of Executive Director, effective July 1, 2020. We are grateful for the leadership Michael has provided over the last four years, particularly in the areas of fundraising and development.
In a statement, Michael shared, “I will always have a deep love for Camp Mennoscah and a passion for camping ministry, and my support for Camp Mennoscah, though it will be different in form, will always remain. I am grateful for the ways each member of the Board of Directors has supported camp’s ministry during my time as Executive Director, each staff person who has worked tirelessly to grow and develop the ministry that Camp Mennoscah provides, and the hundreds of camp supporters I have had the privilege of getting to know. I have no doubts that Camp Mennoscah’s future is bright, and I look forward to supporting camp for years into the future.”
Michael will begin a new ministry position as Campus Pastor at Bethel College where he will oversee the campus ministries and faith formation of the students there. In the interim period, the Camp Mennoscah Staff and Board of Directors will continue to fulfill camp’s mission by providing space and programs for people of all ages to connect with God, nature, others, and self.
The Board of Directors and Staff at Camp Mennoscah want to wish Michael all the best in his new position. We welcome the opportunity to connect and partner in new and exciting ways.
