Frequently Asked Questions

Haven't been to camp before and don't know what to expect? Need more basic information? We hope this page can help you! If you have questions regarding specifically Summer Youth Camps or Retreats & Groups, please follow the respective links. If you cannot find what you are looking for, please do not hesitate to contact us.

We recommend registering online for both retreats and summer youth camps by following this link. Simply follow the instructions on the site and don't forget to submit the registration when you are finished. If you have registered online before, please login to the site using the username and password you created previously. Please contact Camp Mennoscah with any questions about registration at office@campmennoscah.org. Thank you!
We do have limited scholarships available, please follow this link to our scholarship information page. All scholarships will be kept confidential. Contact Camp Mennoscah with questions in regards to scholarships.
Retreats: Cancellation of your retreat six (6) months prior to your retreat date results in a return of your deposit minus a $50 processing fee. Cancellation under six (6) months of your retreat date results in the loss of your full deposit. Contact Camp Mennoscah about the inclement weather policy. Summer Youth Camps: If you need to cancel, camp fees minus the pre-registration fee will be returned. Reduced rates for campers leaving early or arriving late are not offered. Please contact Camp Mennoscah as soon as possible if you should need to cancel or make changes to a camper's registration.
For summer youth camps, lost and found items are collected by camp staff at the end of each week and placed on a table in the check-out line. If your camper believes they have lost an item, this would be the first place to check. For retreats, if or when an item is found, the contact person for your retreat will be notified. Should you or a camper go home without an item, please contact Camp Mennoscah in regards to that item as soon as possible. Camp Mennoscah keeps all lost and found for two weeks after items are found. After two weeks, some items will be donated to the Et Cetra Shop in Newton, KS and others will be discarded, recycled, or re-purposed.

We do allow fishing on camp grounds. If you are here with a group that has reserved Camp Mennoscah, you are welcome to fish during your stay here. If you would like to come to camp just to fish, please contact us. We welcome visitors as fits our schedule for our day fee ($7/adult/day, $4/child/day). All Kansas fish & game regulations must be followed.

Camp Mennoscah does NOT allow hunting or weapons of any kind. Wildlife and plants are a part of camp. Do not disturb, catch, take home, tease, or destroy wildlife. Please no picking of wildflowers or cutting of trees.
